My city: Apnu Amdavad

When you have spent almost whole of your life only in Ahmedabad, you suddenly have so many feelings, thoughts, etc. travelling around your mind about the city. I have been here since birth. I am pure amdavadi by heart. They say in Gujarat when you travel through different cities your accent of Gujarati changes and yes of course we also have a unique language known as amdavadi gujarati. The city is situated in the banks of Sabarmati River. Historically speaking, it got its name from Sultan Ahmed Shah. It is also famous for some great historic museums, temples and mosques, Sabarmati Ashram. It is kind of combination of old and new; old Ahmedabad consisting of busy lane, Jama Masjid, Gandhi memorial, etc. to the new Ahmedabad with some luxurious cafes, vibrant food culture offering almost all cuisines. In all aspects, Ahmedabad is the best of course. It presently has one of the best transportation systems called BRTS- Bus Rapid Transport Service which easily connects all the are

My First Expert

Mom, only the word is enough to describe what a special place she holds in everyone's life.  The most special thing about mother is that everyone has got best.  She carries her child in the womb for 8 to 9 long months and again she gives birth knowing that her life is at stake. She feeds the baby with her milk. She makes you learn to sit and to take your first steps. With her shadow you feel that you have everything. Even if you yearn for a 5 star hotel food, you only get satisfied by your mother-cooked food. Not so long ago, I realized that if you have her you can easily conquer the harsh world. On one of the day, I had a row with my senior for sitting till late hours at client’s place. And I am of

School Nostalgia

Thousands of questions were buzzing around my mind about the school I was to join. But thanks to mom and dad, they were patiently answering all my questions and did assure me that it would not be difficult at all. That first day! Dad came to drop me and signaled all the best to me. When your loved ones are there with you at every step you climb things become much easier. The school I was supposed to join belonged to one of my relatives. So I at least felt a sense of belonging towards it. I peeped in every class to search for a board of Standard 5 th . It was towards the end of the foyer. I, totally nervous, taking small steps headed to classroom; stood at the door and had a glimpse of whole classroom. There was a lot of chaos and every student was occupied with some or the other work. There are lots of things t

Being Loved!

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.” -Marc Chernoff “We’re all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you’ve been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect there’s no right person, just different flavors of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn’t until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems—the ones that make you truly who you are—that we’re ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you
