Amidst my Alley

Ever imagined that every person you see, every person standing on the street has a story, may be an extra-ordinary story to tell. Ever imagined that abandoned building is a home for many twittering birds. The stranger who bumped into you has fought a battle against cancer? Ever occurred?
Me? Yes, I have a habit, habit of observing things around me and finding funny moments circling through that observation and also at times feeling the centermost creature on Earth, all of these, just while commuting.

Seeing traffic police daily, reminds me of cartoon “Make a way for Noddy” and the sole police office in that animated series named Mr. Plod (no idea why I still remember). And a smile spreads across my face. Obviously, when you compare Mr. Plod to any traffic police you see on streets, with a huge belly and his whistle, you just laugh. Sometimes, if you are extremely lucky (well in my case, yes), they allow you to elude a rule and instruct you to just not stop and go, even if you are the only vehicle left to cross the sign (during the “RED” signal, yes). Even imagined how much special you should feel, because on a cross road the entire bunch of people on the other side are staring at you, may be at hint of jealously and you are crossing that path all alone. Literally, I felt like I was walking on a ramp with all eyes on me.

I have to take a path daily, where there are people living on streets. I see them, jumping around, collecting things from the ground and when a car approaches to give them food how joyously they jump. And it’s always a pleasurable sight for me. A father gesturing towards an airplane in the sky to show to his daughter, and how she simply giggles on the sight of that. The pleasures are same everywhere, wherever you live.

The other favorite thing: Rains, I love it when it surprises me. It gives free hugs to everyone, some don’t like though. And yes, it never discriminates. As they say, some feel rain, others just get wet. How amazing that feeling is when you can hear the sound of every raindrop falling on the ground and the smell of that wet land. It’s a music to ears, leaves always a soothing effect.
This was a little basket full of amidst the alley stories. For those who are reading this, let us not allow our sub-conscious mind to ponder upon daily tension while commuting. Look around, the happiness lies in simplest things.

We miss you Grand mom!

That day, 31 st august, 2013; mom came in my room and in a heartbreaking tone she ordered me to shut off the T.V. I probably knew the reason but never wanted that to come true. As soon as I entered my grand mom room she lost all her senses. Did I really lose her? Was she no more in this world? I stood there; unable to move myself and trying to believe the reality! Tears came from my eyes. Everything stood still for me. I wish she lived more. I cried in an empty room remembering each and everything she did for me. My grandmother. More than a grand mom she was equal to my mom. I spent 19 years of my life with her. She pampered me like no one else and she probably had a hand in spoiling me and making me so stubborn. She used to tell me stories and sing lullabies every night to make me sleep till I turned 15. She would feed me at times when I had a row with my parents and she always fought with mom and dad to support me. She encouraged me even in studies and every time I used to ach...

Titleless

When life loses faith and brings despair, Even a best friend's voice cannot repair When the journey you begin seems so far, For other it ended and you aren't still at par When the clouds of darkness surround your head, You know deep down enough is being said When your dreams you feel are too high, You want to laugh around but you sigh It may seem permanent and force you to give up, That is the time my friend you must cheer up! Don't you think you lost, your time may come soon Believe me, your hard work one day will get opportune. P.S. My first try to writing poems

Minimalism

\   Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication -Leonardo Da Vinci Living a simple life has always fascinated me. My life revolves around my friends and family. They are enough to give me all the enjoyment I need. I do not require materialistic things to complete me. I am neither a fashion buff nor I have craziness about branded clothes. I get whatever I demand from my dad. Even though I am simple like other I celebrate my birthdays with huge cake, hang out with my friends often, and splurge on a nice hotel. I do all that makes me happy.   But sometimes we often complain of not having contented life. We compare our lives with our neighbors or friends or other family. Due to all this I see a world around me everything ballooning out of shape. Cars are the size of school buses, houses are as big as convection centers, shopping mall are the size of pentagon. It seems greedy to take more than my share of water, electricity, gas, ozone, food and goods. I think bigger is ...
