I must say that this is the sentence that most teenagers
must be hearing from their elders. And it’s the worst part I must say. I mean
who actually like to grow up. I could look back and have no regrets. All these
years when we were small we used to think that what kind of things we would do
when we would actually grow up!! We all painted a picture in our head and
dreamt of becoming something or the other. But the actual reality seems so
different. There comes a great amount of responsibility; we are expected to
show certain kind of attitude. I hate all these things. Common think of a world
from the point of view of a child. Don’t you miss all those cartoons show? Instead
of continuously watching news. Don’t you miss playing with society friends? Instead
of discussing studies and careers with your colleagues. I truly believe that an
individual should always carry some madness in his/her life because that’s the
only thing that can keep one’s innocence alive. It is said that “Growing old is
mandatory; growing up is optional”. I always think that the world of a child is
colorful filled with innocence and joy. People pinching our cheeks, giving
kisses etc. it was all fun.
Indeed, growing up has it perks but it’s not an easy job. As
a child you have always been in your friendly rather comfort zone and suddenly
when you are near your twenties it won’t be the same. Situations against you
will grow. You will feel frustrated. You will feel alone. But that’s how you
and I must learn. From experiences. Obviously we cannot stop it. We didn’t even
realize the journey we have been through, we were just living. But memories are with us forever. To teach us,
to remind us. To show us that growing is a part of life.
Above all even if you
all are coming in your twenties, don’t shy to do little mad things u did. Like
jumping up on bed, licking your favorite ice-cream, all the silliness and
goofiness. Don’t let the child inside you die.

DeleteGrowing up is a fact of life. But, how one looks at the process of growing up is important. I agree, one need not grow with stress and pressure on one's self and unwarranted excessive maturity. One has to scale up with sense of responsibility keeping gradual progress. At the same time, under the guise of growing up and losing childhood, one can not escape also.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you Sir.. Sadly or gadly we cannot escape from reality.
