“You are Grown Up!!” Eeee… Really!!

I must say that this is the sentence that most teenagers must be hearing from their elders. And it’s the worst part I must say. I mean who actually like to grow up. I could look back and have no regrets. All these years when we were small we used to think that what kind of things we would do when we would actually grow up!! We all painted a picture in our head and dreamt of becoming something or the other. But the actual reality seems so different. There comes a great amount of responsibility; we are expected to show certain kind of attitude. I hate all these things. Common think of a world from the point of view of a child. Don’t you miss all those cartoons show? Instead of continuously watching news. Don’t you miss playing with society friends? Instead of discussing studies and careers with your colleagues. I truly believe that an individual should always carry some madness in his/her life because that’s the only thing that can keep one’s innocence alive. It is said that “Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional”. I always think that the world of a child is colorful filled with innocence and joy. People pinching our cheeks, giving kisses etc. it was all fun.

Indeed, growing up has it perks but it’s not an easy job. As a child you have always been in your friendly rather comfort zone and suddenly when you are near your twenties it won’t be the same. Situations against you will grow. You will feel frustrated. You will feel alone. But that’s how you and I must learn. From experiences. Obviously we cannot stop it. We didn’t even realize the journey we have been through, we were just living.  But memories are with us forever. To teach us, to remind us. To show us that growing is a part of life.

Above all even if you all are coming in your twenties, don’t shy to do little mad things u did. Like jumping up on bed, licking your favorite ice-cream, all the silliness and goofiness. Don’t let the child inside you die.

  2. Growing up is a fact of life. But, how one looks at the process of growing up is important. I agree, one need not grow with stress and pressure on one's self and unwarranted excessive maturity. One has to scale up with sense of responsibility keeping gradual progress. At the same time, under the guise of growing up and losing childhood, one can not escape also.

White Walls

I still stand staring at those white walls, They say it did not depict any color at all How could I explain what I saw! Years had passed, but memories were still raw There was so much to it on another side, Surreal it felt, felt like rules I had to abide Relations I nurtured and cared became sour, I knew it ended even if I tried until last hour! Now that the wall was built to separate, That day I knew it was time to regret Everything felt apart, realized it was my mistake, I only wished if Life could give me a retake. I still think about trying all the ways, Even where every deed of mine turned grey That name will be swept away by another windfall, But I will still stand staring at those white walls!                                          ...

Book Review #1

Just Friends :D While searching for a fiction book to read at my sis’s place, my eyes suddenly stuck at the title "Just Friends" by Sumrit Shahi. The title itself forced me to pick up that book from the bunch of other fictions. And in the end all I could say is it was the best choice. Not because I was so willing to read it, but it was related to my life in some way. Whenever we talk about a romantic novel, we talk about Nicholas Sparks. When it comes to "Indian Authors" and "Love Stories", I stay away. But as soon as I read out the synopsis of the book, I couldn't wait to read it. It defines the same old question "Can a girl and a boy be just friends?" This question because at the end of the day a bond is formed; a bond secure enough to make us so habitual about each other. There are so many movies and books that defend that a guy and a girl can never be friends. The author has indeed penned down a straight from a heart ...

Titleless

When you feel trapped inside and all doors get closed, Everything moves against the direction you supposed! When life loses faith and brings despair, Even a best friend's voice cannot repair When the journey you begin seems so far, For other it ended and you aren't still at par When the clouds of darkness surround your head, You know deep down enough is being said When your dreams you feel are too high, You want to laugh around but you sigh It may seem permanent and force you to give up, That is the time my friend you must cheer up! Don't you think you lost, your time may come soon Believe me, your hard work one day will get opportune. P.S. My first try to writing poems
